This workshop is intended for professionals who would like a better understanding of current use of medication for common childhood diagnosis. Dr. Lu will provide an overview of the neurochemical effects of medication, efficacy of such therapies, when to refer to psychiatrist, common risks and side affects to be aware of and how best to explain this to parents. This workshop is ideal for social workers, therapists, teachers and others who would like a better understanding of psychopharmacology and the current trends.

Presented by Dr. Lin Lu. Dr. Lu specializes in Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatry, also has a PhD in Microbiology & Immunology. Her extensive training in both fields leads her to a unique understanding of the mind and body. She believes in people’s potential and strives to develop a personal connection with them.
